A few quick updates:
Officers:
Kelly has stepped down as Fundraising Officer due to extensive work and school commitments. Thank you Kelly for your contributions this past season as an officer!
Lauren Alexander has graciously stepped forward to replace Kelly as Fundraising Officer. If you have ideas for events, sponsors, etc, please email Lauren! (fundraiser@austinvalkyries.com).
2010 Fall Season:
The officers met last week (meeting notes to follow shortly), and we are still finalizing coaching and scheduling for the fall.
We can tell you to plan for practice to begin in late July, most likely the last week of July (July 26). So, yes, it’s about that time to start running/working out/etc in getting ready for the upcoming fall season! Watch for updated emails next week with finalized start dates.
We’ll have a team meeting prior to the season beginning tentatively July 19, more details to come!
Recruiting:
Please keep an eye out for new players, new to the game and not! We’ll need lots of bodies out there, as we say goodbye to some dear teammates. Recruit at the gym, on the trail, at work, wherever. Help get the word out!
