Welcome to the Austin Valkyries Web site! We are located in Austin, TX and are a Division 1 Club Team participating in the Texas Rugby Union. We are also members of the West Rugby Union and USA Rugby. We are a non-profit rugby team that travels all over the nation playing and learning the sport we love. July 14 - Congratulations to the Satiated Beavers and the Mockingbirds for placing 1st and 2nd in the TOLA 7s Series!

July 12 - Several changes to the Fall 09 Schedule, make sure to check it out here.

July 1 - The Beavers took two teams to Bloodfest and both teams played well! Beaver Blue took first place over The Phatties (Texas A&M). Beaver Orange was defeated by the Mockingbirds to take 4th place.

June 18 - The Satiated Beavers have been busy this summer! They placed 2nd at the Dallas 7s Tournament and this weekend they are competing at the Austin Bloodfest Tournament.

June 1 - Congratulations to Meredith Ottens, Pattie Shagam, and Wendy Young for being selected for the West Senior NASC team. They traveled to Little Rock last weekend for NASCs.

May 20 - The Oil Wrestling Fundraiser was a smashing success! We made well over $2500, thanks to everyone who wrestled and to everyon that volunteered!

Apr 20 - Congratulations to Erin Wood & Alex Davenport for being chosen for the West U23 All-Star team!

Apr 12 - Congratulations to Meredith Ottens, Pattie Shagam, Alex McCarthy and Wendy Young for being selected to attend warm-up matches for the West Senior All-Star Team.

Apr 6 - Thank you to Houston and the DC Furies for traveling to Austin for two matches. The weather was great and so was the rugby! Also thanks to UT, TX State and Alamo City for filling in the DC Furies side.

Mar 28 - The Austin Valkyries are traveling to Nashville, TN this weekend for the 28th Annual Nash Bash Rugby Tournament! Wish us luck!

Mar 11 - The game against UT on Mar 12 has been cancelled due to rain (UT will not allow us to play on their fields if it is raining).

From our office in Seattle, we handle events World-Wide including the Winter Olympics, World Cup Soccer, all Opera and NFR Rodeo. Other big International events are Australian Open Tennis, and Formula One Races. Nationally, we trade tickets for Nascar, Grand Slam Tennis, NHL Hockey, and College Football games. Some of our favorite local teams are the Houston Astros, Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets. Yes, we do handle the Super Bowl.
